Wind Aviation has officially launched operations in Türkiye after receiving its air operator’s certificate (AOC) #TR-AT-104 from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM) on July 7, 2025. The milestone follows the induction of its first aircraft, a Bombardier Challenger 3500 business jet.

General Manager Onur Yılmaz stated, “We are happy to receive our operating licence and begin operations with the aircraft we have added to our fleet after completing the delivery process.”

According to ch-aviation data, the aircraft, registered as TC-CBA (msn 21064), is a brand-new 2025-built Challenger 3500. It was delivered from Montréal Trudeau to Istanbul Atatürk via Shannon between June 5 and 6. After remaining inactive initially, it began domestic operations within Türkiye on July 9. The aircraft is based at Istanbul Atatürk Airport.

With this addition, Wind Aviation becomes the second Turkish operator of the Challenger 3500, following Arkasair, which introduced the type to its fleet in late 2023. Another Turkish operator, Genel Havacilik, also based at Istanbul Atatürk, continues to operate earlier models in the Bombardier Challenger series, including two Challenger 300s and one Challenger 350.

The entry of Wind Aviation into Türkiye’s business aviation market signals continued demand for premium charter services and modern, fuel-efficient aircraft. The Challenger 3500, known for its advanced avionics, spacious cabin, and improved performance, positions the startup to attract both domestic and international charter clients.
