Turkish national flag carrier Turkish Airlines has announced that it will be resuming regular scheduled passenger flights to a number of destinations in Saudi Arabia following the country’s decision to lift strict COVID-19 travel restrictions.

According to a statement issued by the airline on July 4, 2022, Turkish Airlines will resume flights from Turkey to four major cities in Saudi Arabia – Riyadh (RUH), Jeddah (JED), Dammam (DMM), and Medina (MED). The decision follows the government of Saudia Arabia’s decision to remove Turkey from its ‘red’ list of countries.

“The flights to Saudi Arabia have resumed to pre-pandemic conditions and Saudi citizens are able to travel to or transit through Turkey again,” the statement said.
