Jet2 plc, the parent holding of Jet2 (LS, Leeds/Bradford), has ordered fifteen incremental A321-200Ns, increasing its total order for the type to 51.

In a London Stock Exchange filing, the carrier said the newly ordered aircraft would be delivered between 2026 and 2029.

This commitment comes on top of an order for thirty-six firm and twenty-four optioned A321-200Ns announced by the British leisure specialist in August 2021. It is an incremental deal and not a conversion of its existing options. The deliveries of the A321neo are due to begin in 2023. The company said it would “retain flexibility in determining the most favourable method of financing the aircraft, which will be through a combination of internal resources and debt”.

Jet2 will use the A321neo to replace part of its current fleet of Boeing narrowbodies comprising seven B737-300s and seventy-six B737-800s. The airline also operates eight B757-200s and one A321-200, the ch-aviation fleets advanced module shows.
