ULS Airlines Cargo Expands Fleet with Addition of Boeing Converted Freighters

Turkey-based cargo airline ULS Airlines Cargo said it will expand its fleet with two B737-800 Boeing Converted Freighters (BCF).

The Istanbul-Airport headquartered airline said the first aircraft will be delivered in September 2023 and the second aircraft will arrive in 2024.

“The planes will be ready for regular and charter flights at Istanbul airport, and we are excited and proud to be operating the first B737-800BCF aircraft in Turkey,” said the airline in a website update.

The airline did not specify where it was acquiring the aircraft from.

The B737-800BCF aircraft has a range of 5,765 km with a carrying capacity of 23.9 tons and 184 cu m.

According to its website, ULS Airlines Cargo has three aircraft in its fleet currently – three Airbus A310Fs. The airline offers wet lease – Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance and Insurance (ACMI), charter and Crew, Maintenance and Insurance (CMI) services.

The airline was formerly named Kuzu Airlines Cargo, but formally changed its name to ULS Airlines Cargo under a new operator’s certificate in 2009.
