Capital One Ventures and United Airlines Ventures (UAV) have invested in Mindtrip, an AI-powered travel planning platform named a PhocusWire Hot 25 Travel Startup for 2025. While the companies did not disclose the investment amount, Mindtrip said it has raised a total of $22.5 million to date.

“We started Mindtrip with a vision to turn travel inspiration into action, and the response from both the industry and travelers has been extraordinary,” said CEO and co-founder Andy Moss. He noted that Mindtrip not only helps travelers discover hidden gems but also offers destinations and hotels new ways to engage guests, redefining how trips are planned and experienced.

Capital One Ventures and UAV join existing investors including Amex Ventures, Forerunner Ventures and Costanoa Ventures. Nathan Krishnamurthy, partner at Capital One Ventures, said Mindtrip is “setting the bar” for AI-driven travel planning. “Strong engagement from travelers can be predictors of retention, and we find Mindtrip’s early traction encouraging,” he said.

Founded with $7 million in seed funding in 2023, Mindtrip launched publicly in May 2024 and has rapidly expanded its capabilities. Recent developments include B2B hotel tools, new inspiration and trip organization features, a mobile app, the acquisition of Thatch and new receipt and B2B solutions.

The fresh investment positions Mindtrip to continue scaling its AI technology and deepen its presence across both consumer and enterprise travel segments.
