United Airlines Opens New Lounge in Newark Terminal A
United Airlines has unveiled its newest United Club lounge in Terminal A at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey. Spanning 15,000 square feet, the lounge showcases the work of local artists and offers a range of amenities for guests.
Located near Gate A27, the lounge is the first United Club to open in the newly constructed terminal. With a capacity of over 300 guests, it provides various seating areas for dining, lounging, and working.
The lounge’s design draws inspiration from the industrial loft style found in New York City, featuring high ceilings, exposed brick walls, and locally-sourced furniture and decor. It creates a gallery-like atmosphere with paintings, photographs, and prints from local artists.
Guests can indulge in a complimentary buffet offering wraps, salads, fresh fruit, and local specialties like saltwater taffy and the iconic New Jersey state sandwich: ham, egg, and cheese. The lounge’s bar serves a selection of wines, premium spirits, and beers on tap, while also providing power outlets for device charging.
Additional amenities include free high-speed Wi-Fi, flight information screens, and runway views. The lounge operates daily from 4:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and caters to business class passengers, Star Alliance Gold members, and eligible Air Canada flyers.
The Newark Terminal A United Club joins United Airlines’ extensive network of over 45 lounges worldwide. The airline has plans to open two more lounges at Denver International Airport later this year, further expanding its lounge offerings.
