Carole Hopson, a Black female United Airlines pilot, was inspired to seek a career in aviation by the story of Bessie Coleman, the first African-American woman to receive a pilot’s license. Hopson now hopes to send 100 Black female pilots to flight school in her bid to diversify the industry.
