United Airlines reaps benefits of high cargo demand

United Airlines enjoyed $2.4 billion in cargo revenue in 2021, twice as much as in 2019 as shipping demand continues to surge and sea ports remain clogged. In recent months, United managers say, the airline has moved urgent cargoes of black soap, dog food, mayonnaise and rum on charters and in passenger aircraft.
