United Airlines says Apple tech prevents some delays

United Airlines is the first airline to digitize maintenance documents using the Touch ID feature on Apple’s iPad, and the airline estimates this has prevented delays on more than 4,300 flights and saves 684,000 passengers annually from experiencing delays. United has given Apple technology to all of its 85,000 employees, improving communications and scheduling and allowing flight attendants to manage preorder meals and track what passengers choose.
