Travel enthusiasts eyeing the allure of Mediterranean shores or the call of North American wilderness are in for a treat as United Airlines unveils its summer 2024 flight schedule. A highlight of this season’s offerings includes the introduction of seasonal nonstop flights from Chicago O’Hare International Airport to Athens International Airport.

This service, running from May 28 through August 18, 2024, promises to simplify journeys to Greece, allowing travelers to immerse in its rich history, vibrant food scene, and stunning landscapes more seamlessly than ever.

Operated on the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, these flights will feature a range of seating options from 28 Polaris business class lie-flat pods to 158 standard economy seats, ensuring comfort for every traveler. The service not only enriches United’s extensive European network but also marks a significant expansion of its international routes from Chicago, solidifying its position as a leading carrier for global explorers.

In tandem with the Chicago-Athens route, United will resume seasonal flights from Athens to Washington Dulles International Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport, increasing its total flights between the U.S. and Athens by 25 percent compared to last year. This expansion underscores United’s commitment to providing accessible and varied travel options to its customers.

Further enhancing its summer offerings, United plans to add over 100 new flights within North America, focusing on outdoor destinations. From additional departures to Aspen, Colorado, and Bozeman, Montana, to resumed services to Canadian cities like Winnipeg and Québec City, these flights cater to the rising demand for adventure and exploration in the great outdoors. Notably, Bozeman serves as a gateway to Yellowstone National Park, while Kalispell offers access to Glacier National Park, highlighting United’s dedication to connecting travelers with nature’s wonders.

This strategic expansion, including resumed routes to and from Canada and Alaska, demonstrates United’s agility in adapting to travel trends and its role in facilitating memorable experiences for outdoor enthusiasts, cultural explorers, and everyone in between. As summer 2024 approaches, United Airlines emerges as a key player for travelers seeking convenience, variety, and the thrill of discovery.
