United launches pre-clearance program for Hawaii travel

Starting Feb. 1, United Airlines will allow travelers who provide a valid negative test result to handle document screening before boarding and avoid the screening lines in Hawaii. United is also helping to ensure Covid-19 tests are available to all travelers heading to the islands, no matter where in the US their journey starts. “We’re making it easier for customers traveling to Hawaii to spend more time enjoying their trip and less time waiting in lines,” said Toby Enqvist, United’s chief customer officer.
