United mechanics break gender barrier

United Airlines hopes to add more women to its aircraft maintenance crew as the airline fills hundreds of positions at Denver International Airport. “We’re breaking barriers,” said shift manager Dana Eads. Of the 335 aircraft mechanics working at United’s Denver hub, seven are women, and Eads said they hope to add more.
