United offers preordered drinks, food on long flights

United Airlines announced it will allow all passengers to preorder inflight food and drinks in advance on some longer flights, improving service and allowing flight attendants to move through the cabins faster and delivering more personalized service to passengers. The service will be available first on flights from Chicago to Honolulu and three California cities, and the carrier plans to expand it by fall to all flights over 1,500 miles.
