United, Virgin Australia tout value of code-share agreement

Virgin Australia CEO, Jayne Hrdlicka and Marcel Fuchs, United Airlines’ managing director of international sales, hosted a media event at Sydney International Airport to tout the two airlines’ new code-share partnership, which offers United flyers direct flights to Australia from San Francisco and Los Angeles with direct services from Houston coming later in 2022. “Looking ahead, Virgin Australia is the perfect partner for United. Our partnership provides considerable commercial value for both airlines and a shared commitment to offer the best travel experience for our customers,” United CEO Scott Kirby said.
