Universal Orlando Resort has announced plans for the Universal Helios Grand Hotel, a new 500-room resort set to debut at the Universal Epic Universe theme park. This Mediterranean-themed property will be operated by Loews Hotels & Co. and is designed to offer a blend of relaxation and immersive experiences.

Resort Features and Design

The Universal Helios Grand Hotel will be situated in Celestial Park at Epic Universe, featuring a lush garden landscape. The resort promises a tranquil retreat with a variety of family-friendly amenities, including:

  • Serene Guest Rooms and Suites: The rooms and suites will offer a serene, garden-inspired ambiance with many rooms providing views of the theme park.
  • Kids’ Suites: Unique How to Train Your Dragon Kids’ Suites will allow children to experience a colorful Viking-themed room.
  • Dedicated Park Entrance: Guests will have direct access to Epic Universe from the hotel’s lobby.
  • Bar Helios: The rooftop bar will serve tapas and specialty cocktails with panoramic views of the theme park.
  • Resort-Style Pool: A zero-entry pool with underwater speakers, cabanas, and recreational activities.
  • Fitness Center: A state-of-the-art fitness center with strength and cardio equipment.
  • Game Room: An arcade offering a range of games.
  • Universal Orlando Resort Store: A shop featuring essentials and Universal Orlando merchandise.

Design Inspiration and Highlights

The hotel’s design is inspired by Helios, the Greek sun god, featuring celestial patterns and Mediterranean architecture. The lobby will offer floor-to-ceiling windows with views of Celestial Park, enhancing the resort’s immersive experience.

The Universal Helios Grand Hotel will contribute to Universal Orlando Resort’s expanding portfolio, which now includes 11 hotels and 11,000 guest rooms. It will complement the upcoming Universal Epic Universe theme park, set to open in 2025.
