Unravel Secures $7M Series A to Boost AI Travel Video App

London-based travel tech startup Unravel has raised $7 million in a Series A funding round to expand its AI-powered video platform that helps users discover and book trips. The round was led by Nauta Capital and included participation from Active Partners, Slingshot Ventures, and Olivier Bisserier, former CFO of Booking.com. Additional backers included Antler, Nodes, Upscalers, Brook Bay Capital, and the Players Fund.

Founded in 2021, Unravel offers a shoppable travel video feed designed to inspire bookings through immersive, creator-generated content. The platform uses artificial intelligence to recommend travel experiences tailored to users’ preferences, browsing history, and budgets. Its video-first approach mimics the scrolling experience of social media platforms, making travel planning more intuitive and visually engaging.

CEO and co-founder Vijay Anand said Unravel responds to the way people now discover travel—through content creators rather than traditional search engines. “Unravel bridges that gap, turning creator-shot videos into seamless, AI-powered booking experiences,” he said.

Unravel, a PhocusWire Hot 25 Travel Startup for 2024, is positioning itself as a B2B solution for financial institutions, insurers, credit card companies, and telecom providers to better engage their customer base through curated travel content.

Since closing its seed round in October 2023, the company reports that its annual recurring revenue has grown more than sixfold. While Unravel hasn’t disclosed how the new funding will be allocated, the raise signals continued momentum as the startup aims to redefine travel discovery and booking for a digital-first audience.
