Unum launches staggered business-class seat for widebodies

Unum Aircraft Seating has broadened its seating portfolio with the launch of Unum Two, a forward-facing lie-flat, direct aisle access business-class seat. This staggered business-class seat for widebodies joins the herringbone configuration Unum One model, which is suitable for both widebody and narrowbody application.

The design creates an alternating mix of sociable and more private seats across the widebody cabin, to help airlines meet the needs of every passenger group, from solo travellers to families. Key features of Unum Two are the 21.5in-wide seat, the privacy door option, spacious footwell and what Unum says is the largest side furniture of any forward-facing seat on the market – and all while matching the density of any alternative on the market today. At the core of Unum Two is the company’s proprietary Scimitar seat mechanism, which offers a unique kinematic with infinite adjustability, lumbar support, and a well-supported Zero Gravity position.

The launch of Unum Two at Aircraft Interiors Expo follows the closure of a recent investment round, which is now supporting the development of Unum’s team, product range and production capability.
