Upscale Amarillo, Texas, hotel hearkens to Roaring ’20s

The first luxury hotel in Amarillo, Texas, set to open in April, dates to the 1920s and retains both the period decor and the Prohibition-defying speakeasy setup in the basement. The refurbished Barfield Hotel will feature the city’s first bourbon bar and an Italian steakhouse along with bullet holes and secret rooms.
