Urbane Jets Adds First Executive Jet

Urbane Jets has taken a significant step in expanding its charter fleet with the induction of its first executive jet, a Beechcraft Premier IA. CEO Abishek Kulkarni announced the exciting addition on social media, marking a major milestone for the rapidly growing aviation company. This move follows closely on the heels of the company’s recent acquisition of an AW109 helicopter in December 2024, underscoring its commitment to broadening its service offerings.
The newly added jet, registered as VT-BNB (msn RB-256), is a 16.8-year-old Premier IA configured to seat up to six passengers. It has been available for charter since March 1, 2025. On that day, the jet completed its inaugural flight between Bengaluru HAL and Pune, the company’s operational base, before beginning regular operations with a roundtrip flight to Gulbarga. This new route is expected to further boost the company’s reputation in the corporate and luxury travel sectors.
Originally operated by Corella Air Aviation Private Limited, the Premier IA was the only aircraft previously held under the company’s non-scheduled operator’s permit (NSOP). It was exported to India in 2023, and its acquisition by Urbane Jets represents a strategic move to upgrade and diversify its fleet. By adding this executive jet, Urbane Jets now caters to a wider range of charter services, offering a more flexible and comfortable travel option for business and leisure clients alike.
CEO Abishek Kulkarni emphasized the significance of the new addition, stating, “We have welcomed our first private jet, a Beechcraft Premier 1A, into our fleet, barely two months after taking delivery of our AW109 helicopter.” This statement reflects the company’s rapid fleet expansion and its focus on meeting the growing demand for private jet charters in India. With the inclusion of the Premier IA, Urbane Jets is poised to offer premium travel experiences, which could lead to increased market share in the competitive aviation industry.
The company’s charter fleet now consists of the newly added Premier IA and the recently inducted AW109 helicopter. In addition to these aircraft, Urbane Jets operates a dedicated heliport and an MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) hangar in Pune, which ensures that all its aircraft are maintained to the highest safety and operational standards. This infrastructure supports the company’s broader strategy of delivering top-notch aviation services, from private jet charters to comprehensive aircraft management solutions.
Urbane Jets’ latest fleet expansion reflects a growing trend in the private aviation sector in India, where clients increasingly demand luxury, efficiency, and reliability. The addition of the Premier IA not only enhances the company’s operational capabilities but also positions it as a versatile player in the regional charter market. As the company continues to expand its network and service offerings, it is expected to attract more high-net-worth individuals and corporate clients seeking exclusive travel experiences.
In summary, the introduction of the Beechcraft Premier IA into Urbane Jets’ fleet marks a pivotal moment in the company’s growth trajectory. With a strong operational base in Pune and a commitment to excellence, Urbane Jets is set to capitalize on the increasing demand for premium charter services in India and beyond.
