UrbanLink Air Mobility has announced a significant advancement in its commitment to sustainable transportation by ordering 27 all-electric Viceroy seagliders from REGENT Craft. This strategic move aims to establish regional networks in South Florida and Puerto Rico, with operations set to commence in 2027.

UrbanLink’s vision is to create zero-emission regional transportation networks that connect hub cities such as Miami, Los Angeles, and San Juan. The company plans to utilize a combination of all-electric air, sea, and ground vehicles, fostering a comprehensive and environmentally friendly travel ecosystem.

The agreement with REGENT entails UrbanLink operating the Viceroy seagliders, which can accommodate up to 12 passengers and travel at speeds of up to 180 mph over service routes of up to 180 miles on a single charge. This innovative transportation solution aligns with UrbanLink’s mission to deliver zero-emission regional travel across the U.S.

“Our partnership with REGENT further advances our mission to bring zero-emission regional travel to the U.S., with a specific focus on the Miami and San Juan markets,” said Ed Wegel, UrbanLink Founder and Chairman. He emphasized that this order complements UrbanLink’s previous commitment to electric sea vessels, all designed to integrate seamlessly with the company’s all-electric eVTOL jets. This integration will enhance connectivity and expand the reach of UrbanLink’s services across the regions they serve.

Wegel further articulated the broader implications of embracing these innovative, zero-emission modes of transportation. “By embracing these innovative, zero-emission modes of transportation—whether by sea or air—we’re not only shaping the future of travel but also taking meaningful steps toward a cleaner, more sustainable environment for generations to come.”

The Viceroy seagliders from REGENT are designed to utilize existing dock infrastructure, facilitating increased connectivity and charging options that will benefit other electric vehicles operating in the same space. This approach not only streamlines operations but also promotes a more extensive network of sustainable transportation solutions.

“UrbanLink’s order expands the opportunity to connect millions of people in South Florida and Puerto Rico with efficient, comfortable, and sustainable transportation solutions,” stated Billy Thalheimer, Co-founder and CEO of REGENT. He added that as demand for seagliders grows, this agreement brings the companies closer to realizing their potential to enhance existing transportation systems and improve people’s lives.

In addition to the REGENT seagliders, UrbanLink’s fleet will include Lilium Jet aircraft, Artemis sea crafts, and Eviation’s Alice electric aircraft. This diverse array of vehicles underlines UrbanLink’s commitment to pioneering sustainable travel solutions and transforming regional mobility.

As UrbanLink Air Mobility prepares for the introduction of these all-electric seagliders, the company positions itself as a leader in the future of environmentally friendly transportation. With an unwavering focus on sustainability and innovation, UrbanLink aims to revolutionize how people travel within regions, making significant strides toward a greener future.
