US airlines anticipate pent up demand to continue through the summer as the number of vaccinations grow and continue to increase capacity and adjust routes and schedules to domestic and leisure destinations based on demand. American Airlines expects to have all its aircraft back in service by May. The Transportation Security Administration reports it screened more than a million passengers each day since March 11, although passenger throughput remains down 50% compared to 2019 levels.
