US airlines reconnect families as international travel reopens
Scenes of joyful and heartfelt reunions played out across the country Monday after the US reopened borders to international travelers. International demand for US destinations is surging, and airlines are pleased to reconnect families after nearly two years or more of separation. “Customers have been chomping at the bit to come here,” said American Airlines Vice President of International Operations Jose Freig. “We’re really excited that we can now transport customers from these countries into the US.”
