US extends travel limits for Canada, Mexico

The US Department of Homeland Security has extended the closure of borders with Mexico and Canada, in place starting March 2020, through Sept. 21 at minimum, despite Canada’s decision to allow vaccinated US residents to enter. The agency announced in a Tweet that, “[i]n coordination with public health and medical experts, DHS continues working closely with its partners across the United States and internationally to determine how to safely and sustainably resume normal travel.
