US’s iAero Airways adds first B737-800(SF)
iAero Airways (SWQ, Greensboro) has acquired its first of two B737-800(SF)s after N859AM (msn 32796) was ferried to Greensboro from Dothan, where it had been undergoing P2F conversion with Aeronautical Engineers Inc., earlier this month. It has yet to enter revenue service.
Until this development, the Arizona-based carrier had only operated B737-800(BDSF)s (three) alongside two B737-400(SF)s and one B737-300(F). All six aircraft with the exception of the B737-300(F) are in service for DHL Express, although one B737-800 freighter is operated on an ACMI basis by iAero Airways, while the other five are operated on a CM basis.
iAeroAirways is also active in the passenger charter sector, where it has eight B737-300s, nineteen B737-400s, and five B737-800s. It is also expecting a B767-300(ER), N827RC (msn 26389), to deliver at some point this year, the ch-aviation fleets advanced module indicates.
