Video shows fire suppression test at new United facility

United Airlines has posted a video showing a safety test at its nearly complete maintenance facility, in which the fire suppression system releases 1.57 million cubic feet of firefighting foam, filling the hanger more than 10 feet deep in minutes. United’s $352 million Technical Operations Center at Los Angeles International Airport includes a ground service and facility maintenance building and a hangar that will focus on the airline’s Dreamliner fleet.
