Vietravel Airlines Gains Strategic New Shareholders
Vietravel Airlines has welcomed three new shareholders, marking a significant milestone in its growth strategy. The new investors include T&T Aviation Transport and Trading JSC (T&T Airlines), T&T Super Port and International Logistics Center Company Limited (T&T SuperPort), and BVIM Fund Management JSC.
Chairman Nguyen Quoc Ky emphasized that these strategic shareholders will enhance the airline’s competitiveness, expand its network, and improve service quality. “This share transfer is a crucial step toward realizing Vietravel Airlines’ investment and development goals,” he stated.
While financial details were not disclosed, local media outlet Bao Dau Tu reported that T&T entities now control approximately 75% of Vietravel Airlines’ charter capital, which recently increased to VND1.3 trillion (USD51 million).
T&T Group, a Vietnamese conglomerate, has diversified interests in finance, logistics, healthcare, transportation, and forestry. BVIM Fund Management JSC is owned by three individuals: Tran Thi Hong Lien (49%), Nguyen Thai Ha (48%), and Nguyen Ngoc Nghi (3%).
Post-investment, the airline’s shareholder roster includes Vietravel Group, Vietnam Transport Tourism and Marketing JSC, T&T Airlines, T&T SuperPort, BVIM Fund, Tran Doan The Duy, and Doan Hai Dangral. Vietravel Airlines, founded in 2020, initially had a sole shareholder, Vietnam Transport Tourism and Marketing JSC.
Operating a fleet of three A321-200s and one A320-200, Vietravel Airlines currently serves routes between Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Phu Quoc, Da Nang, Qui Nhon, and Bangkok Suvarnabhumi, showcasing its ambition to expand its footprint in regional aviation.
