Virgin Atlantic has expanded its codeshare agreement with low-fare carrier, IndiGo, opening up more destinations throughout India.

18 new destinations have been added to this partnership, rounding up the total to 34. Customers will now be able to book one ticket that allows them to seamlessly travel in India, from destinations such as Varanasi, Srinagar, Goa Mopa and Lucknow through Delhi and Mumbai.

Virgin Atlantic’s Flying Club members will also benefit from this extended codeshare agreement, with opportunities to earn Virgin Points and Tier Points on every IndiGo flight.

Alex McEwan, Country Manager – South Asia, Virgin Atlantic said: “We are excited to more than double the number of destinations available in our codeshare partnership with IndiGo. This offers our customers even more choice when travelling to India. By combining IndiGo’s vast network with Virgin Atlantic’s three daily services between the UK and India, we offer a range of connections to and from India’s most popular destinations.”
