Virgin Atlantic Expands Network in India with New Bengaluru Flights

Virgin Atlantic, the UK-based airline, has announced the launch of a new daily service between London Heathrow and Bengaluru, the third destination and fourth daily service in India. The flights will start from March 31st, 2024, using the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, which offers 258 seats in three cabin classes.

The new route will offer more options and convenience for travelers to and from India, as well as seamless connectivity to destinations across North America, Europe and South America via London Heathrow. Bengaluru is a rapidly growing tech hub and one of the largest corporate markets in India, as well as a vibrant city with rich culture and history.

Juha Jarvinen, Chief Commercial Officer at Virgin Atlantic, said: “We are thrilled to announce our new service to Bengaluru, which marks our expansion in India. India is a key market for us and we have seen a huge increase in demand since we resumed flights in 2019. With our partnership with IndiGo, we are able to offer our customers more choice and flexibility across 34 destinations in India.”

The flight schedule for the London Heathrow-Bengaluru route is as follows:

  • VS318: Departs London Heathrow (LHR) at 16:20, arrives in Bengaluru (BLR) at 06:05 (+1)
  • VS319: Departs Bengaluru (BLR) at 08:05, arrives in London Heathrow (LHR) at 13:25
