Virgin Atlantic launches experiences for its A350 social space

Following the reveal of The Booth, the social space on Virgin Atlantic’s A350s with a leisure configuration, the airline has unveiled a series of new experiences that can be enjoyed in the zone.

The Booth is a feature in the Upper Class cabin of its leisure A350s (details here), and is a smaller social space than those found on the airline’s 787s and mainline A350s. Two guests can sit in the lounge-style seating of The Booth and enjoy experiences including private dining and wine and cognac tasting.

For the wine tasting experience, Virgin Atlantic has teamed up with The Uncommon, a UK producer of wine and spritzers in a can. A can may sound less appealing than a bottle, but the company’s wines are locally grown and sustainably made. Customers in The Booth will be able to sample a selection of three wines, including an English white and a rose, alongside a lighter spritzer.

A cognac tasting experience is also available through a partnership with Delamain, one of the world’s oldest cognac houses, which has been crafting fine cognacs for over two centuries and across nine generations. Every Delamain cognac is crafted from deux-de-vie sourced from cognac’s finest terroir, the Grande Champagne. The cognacs are paired with fine chocolates, and after the experience customers will receive a tasting glass to keep as a memento of their journey.

Further experiences on offer in The Booth include ‘Dinner for Two’ private dining and ‘Game Time’, where two guests can play cards with a drink (something rummy perhaps).

Upper Class customers on the airline’s London Heathrow to Orlando flights, which is at the heart of Virgin Atlantic’s leisure programme, are the first to be offered in the new Booth experiences.
