Virgin Voyages Showcases Brilliant Lady Highlights

Virgin Voyages has unveiled its newest ship, Brilliant Lady, a 2,762-guest vessel designed to redefine cruising for modern travelers. The ship embarked on its “MerMaiden” voyage from New York City on September 5, offering guests a five-night sailing to Bermuda and a first look at its fresh features.

Brilliant Lady mirrors many of the amenities found on sister ships Scarlet Lady, Valiant Lady and Resilient Lady, but introduces upgrades geared toward new destinations like Alaska and the Panama Canal. Measuring 912 feet and built to Panamax standards, the ship can transit the Panama Canal—an option unavailable to its fleetmates.

Among the innovations is a new stateroom type, the Sea Terrace (Slightly) Smaller Balcony, designed with narrower balconies to accommodate the ship’s lifeboat arrangement but still featuring Virgin’s signature red hammocks. The Roundabout, Virgin’s central hub, has been reimagined for Alaska sailings, offering cozy seating and a revamped Draught Haus that doubles as a coffee shop and bar.

On deck 16, the Athletic Club has been redesigned so loungers now face outward for glacier and Inside Passage views. New dining options include Rojo by Razzle Dazzle, a Spanish-inspired tapas restaurant with standout dishes like Maine lobster paella.

Entertainment has also expanded with new shows such as “Up With a Twist,” “Murder in the Manor” and “Duets,” plus immersive parties like Disco Reimagined and an upgraded indoor version of Scarlet Night.

Brilliant Lady will begin Panama Canal sailings in 2026, showcasing Virgin Voyages’ most versatile ship yet.
