Virginia’s Dynamic Aviation to invest $47.9mn in MRO

Dynamic Aviation (Bridgewater) has announced it will build a new office, maintenance, and aircraft storage facility at Bridgewater, VA, airport, for USD47.9 million. The new infrastructure includes 13,000 square-feet (1,207 square-metre) for office space and a composite shop and 33,000 square-feet (3,066 square-metre) for an MRO hangar. The project is forecast to create 207 new jobs and is supported by the Virginia Jobs Investment Program (VJIP), a state-funded job creation programme. The airline currently employs around 750 people. Dynamic Aviation provides “customised aerial assets and services” to a variety of customers, including private companies, government agencies, and the defence sector. It owns over 140 aircraft, including Beechcraft and De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Dash 8 types, and operates from 18 locations in 11 countries across five continents. It also owns Bridgewater airport, and it already runs a heavy maintenance facility there.
