Vueling, the low-cost carrier under the International Airlines Group (IAG), has introduced a special aircraft livery in honor of the Football Club Barcelona (FCB) women’s soccer team. The new livery, applied to Vueling’s A320ceo (registration EC-LZN), highlights the achievements of six key players from the team, including Aitana Bonmatí and Alexia Putellas, who both won the prestigious Ballon D’Or for the best female footballer in 2024, 2023, 2022, and 2021.

The design showcases the team’s stars, such as Salma Paralluelo, María León, Caroline Graham-Hansen, and Patri Guijarro, accompanied by the inspiring motto, “Dream, Play, Fly.” This symbolic gesture celebrates the team’s excellence and dedication, both in Spain and internationally.

The livery isn’t limited to the exterior of the aircraft. The cabin has also been transformed with football-themed elements, featuring FCB-branded headrests and overhead baggage bins. The aisle has been covered in a grass-like green, mirroring the appearance of a football pitch, enhancing the connection to the team’s sport.

This is the second time Vueling has paid tribute to FC Barcelona’s women’s football team with a special livery. The first was revealed in April 2024. The women’s team has been a dominant force in European football, having won the last five editions of the Spanish championship and the most recent two European Champions League titles.

As an official partner of FC Barcelona, Vueling will use this specially decorated aircraft to transport the team to their away games, starting with a flight from Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN) to Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD) on November 16, 2024. The airline’s collaboration with the team highlights the growing recognition and support for women’s football, as Vueling continues to honor its hometown heroes on a global stage.

This move further strengthens Vueling’s commitment to celebrating local sports talent and enhancing the connection between the airline and its community, while also promoting the achievements of women in sports.
