WestJet Partners With Saudia for Seamless Saudi Access

WestJet has expanded its global reach through a new interline agreement with Saudia, the national carrier of Saudi Arabia. This strategic partnership offers WestJet passengers convenient access to multiple destinations across the Kingdom via Saudia’s key hubs in Jeddah and Riyadh.

Under the agreement, travelers can now book single-itinerary journeys that combine WestJet and Saudia flights, with one check-in process and through-checked baggage. The partnership opens new routes connecting Canadian cities to Saudi Arabia via WestJet’s transatlantic services to London Heathrow and Paris Charles de Gaulle, and onward connections with Saudia.

Passengers can access Jeddah from Toronto Pearson, or travel from London and Paris to both Jeddah and Riyadh—all on one ticket.

“This interline partnership is a significant step in strengthening global connectivity for our guests,” said John Weatherill, WestJet’s Executive Vice-President and Chief Commercial Officer. “We are enhancing travel options and supporting increased tourism and business ties between Canada and Saudi Arabia.”

Saudia’s Chief Commercial Officer Arved von zur Muehlen added, “This collaboration reflects Saudia’s commitment to offering seamless travel from Canada while inviting guests to experience the culture and hospitality of the Kingdom.”

The agreement marks another step in WestJet’s growing global alliances. In June 2025, the airline signed a similar deal with SAS Scandinavian Airlines and expanded existing partnerships with Aeromexico, Virgin Atlantic, and Air France-KLM. Following Onex Corporation’s sale of a 25% stake in WestJet to Delta, Korean Air, and Air France-KLM, industry analysts believe WestJet’s full integration into SkyTeam may be imminent.
