Whitbread looking skyward after uptick in low times

The UK’s travel restrictions couldn’t keep Premier Inn owner Whitbread PLC from enjoying a rise in bookings and share value headed toward summer, and the firm is exuding optimism about full recovery — provided the lockdown ends. The company opened 10 new hotels in the UK during the quarter and says 98% of its properties were open.
