Windstar Cruises is set to enhance its presence in the South Pacific with the launch of new itineraries in 2026. Building on over 36 years of sailing in French Polynesia, the renowned small-ship line will expand its destinations to include Fiji, Tonga, and the Cook Islands, offering travelers more exotic options in this picturesque region.

The new routes will be featured on the Star Breeze, Windstar’s elegant 312-passenger vessel that began year-round South Pacific voyages in February. This ship recently ventured to the Marquesas Islands, now recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, highlighting Windstar’s commitment to exploring remote and culturally rich locations.

In addition to expanding destinations, Windstar will introduce shorter cruise options and new air and hotel packages, including luxurious overwater bungalows in Bora Bora. These offerings aim to provide guests with seamless and memorable travel experiences, combining the beauty of the South Pacific with Windstar’s signature all-suite accommodations.

Christopher Prelog, President of Windstar Cruises, emphasized the company’s dedication to sustainable tourism. “Our small ships allow us to visit destinations like Tonga and Taveuni without overwhelming them, preserving their natural and cultural integrity,” he said. This approach ensures that Windstar’s growth aligns with ecological and community-friendly practices.

To celebrate the new itineraries, Windstar is offering an early booking promotion for 2026 South Pacific sailings. Guests who book early will receive a free all-inclusive experience, including WiFi, unlimited beverages, and a $100 onboard credit per stateroom.

The upcoming itineraries include:

  • Flowers of the South French Polynesia: A 15-day cruise visiting Fiji, Tonga, the Cook Islands, and the Society Islands.
  • Maori Storytellers & French Polynesian Treasures: A 10- or 11-day journey through the Society and Cook Islands.
  • Tantalizing Tuamotu Islands & Beautiful Bora Bora: A 7-day excursion around the Tuamotu Islands.
  • Far Flung French Polynesia and Marquesas Magic: An 11-day adventure in the Marquesas.

Windstar Cruises is also planning to add a second ship, Wind Star, to its fleet in Tahiti by 2027, alongside the introduction of two new vessels, Star Seeker and Star Explorer, further expanding its South Pacific offerings.
