Windstar Cruises Expands Winter Mediterranean Sailings for 2025-26 Season

Windstar Cruises, known for its unique small-ship cruising experiences, is enhancing its Mediterranean offerings with an expanded lineup of winter sailings for the 2025-26 season. Following the popularity of its previous off-season cruises, Windstar is introducing six distinct itineraries and six “Star Collector” sailings, which allow guests to embark on extended journeys by combining multiple itineraries. These cruises will be hosted on the 312-guest Star Legend from November 2025 through March 2026.

The “Star Collector” sailings are particularly appealing as they include complimentary laundry services, encouraging guests to enjoy longer stays and deeper explorations of Europe. To further entice early bookings, Windstar is offering a special promotion available through October 31, 2025, which includes a $200 onboard credit per stateroom, complimentary WiFi, included gratuities, and unlimited beer, wine, and cocktails.

Christopher Prelog, president of Windstar Cruises, highlights the unique appeal of winter travel in the Mediterranean, stating, “Winter in the Mediterranean is a fantastic time to see a different side of this magical region, get to know the locals, and celebrate special holidays like Christmas in Florence, New Years in Dubrovnik, and Carnevale across Italy.” The winter season not only offers milder temperatures and fewer crowds but also more affordable airfare, making it an attractive time to cruise.

The 2025-26 winter itinerary includes visits to less frequented ports such as Valencia, Spain; Crotone, Italy; and Catania in Sicily, along with a new port of call in Genoa, Italy. Additionally, the season features overnight stays in popular destinations such as Dubrovnik, Venice, Nice, Barcelona, Malaga, and Livorno (Florence), providing guests ample time to explore these cities extensively and experience their vibrant nightlife.
