Windstar Cruises Launches New Canary Islands Voyages in 2026

Windstar Cruises has announced new itineraries in the Canary Islands for late 2026 and early 2027, featuring island-hopping adventures aboard the newly renovated Wind Spirit. The 9-night sailings will run from November 2026 through January 2027 and include first-time visits to Porto Santo in Portugal and El Hierro in Spain.
These new voyages offer travelers the chance to explore lesser-visited ports inaccessible to larger ships, providing a more authentic and off-the-beaten-path experience. Guests can enjoy activities such as camel rides across Lanzarote’s dunes, stargazing in La Palma, hiking El Hierro’s scenic coastlines, and watching fireworks in Madeira.
“We’re always looking to craft new itineraries that show off the authentic heart of a destination,” said Jess Peterson, Windstar’s director of destination experience and itinerary planning. “Ports like Porto Santo and El Hierro allow guests to experience a quieter, more natural side of the Canaries.”
Wind Spirit returns to service with updated suites, a redesigned spa and fitness center, and enhanced dining and lounge spaces. Select ports will also offer access to Windstar’s signature marina platform, letting guests swim, paddleboard, kayak, and relax directly off the back of the yacht.
Travelers booking by August 31 can take advantage of Windstar’s Early Booking Offer. The promotion includes over $1,300 in value per stateroom on a 7-day cruise, featuring unlimited select drinks, WiFi, gratuities, and a $200 onboard credit. Guests who choose the Pay Now, Save More option can save an additional 5 percent by paying in full at booking.
