Windstar Cruises is giving a first look at its upcoming vessel, the Star Seeker, a luxury cruise ship set to debut in January 2026. This new addition to the Windstar fleet, which will accommodate 224 guests, promises to elevate the cruise line’s offerings with its innovative features and luxurious amenities.

The company has released new renderings, a deck plan, and additional details about the Star Seeker, which is currently under construction in Portugal. The Star Seeker will be one of two new ships joining Windstar’s fleet, with its sister ship, the Star Explorer, also on the horizon.

Upon completion, Star Seeker will make its way across the Atlantic to Miami for a christening ceremony. The ship will then embark on a journey through the Caribbean, up the West Coast of the United States, and spend the summer cruising in Alaska before heading to Japan and eventually Southeast Asia.

Bookings for Star Seeker will initially open to travel advisors and members of the Yacht Club loyalty program. Public bookings are expected to be available in early September.

Star Seeker will feature five all-inclusive dining options, a full-service spa, a fitness center, and a watersports platform. The ship’s accommodations are designed for luxury, with nearly all 112 suites offering private verandas or floor-to-ceiling infinity windows. Specifically, 72 suites will have large verandas, while 30 will include infinity windows. Notably, Star Seeker will not have any interior cabins.

Guests will have a choice of 12 different suite types, including options for three guests rather than the standard two. The new Horizon Owner’s suites, located at the aft of the ship on deck seven, represent a new suite category for Windstar. These suites feature wrap-around balconies and can be combined with adjoining suites for additional space.

The décor of the suites will feature light wood tones and a color palette inspired by the sea, sky, and landscapes, as described by Stijn Creupelandt, Vice President of Hotel Operations at Windstar Cruises. In contrast, the public areas and dining venues will showcase a vibrant palette of oranges, golds, and yellows, inspired by sunsets and sunrises.
