Wizz Air Malta receives Air Operator’s Certificate and Operating License

Wizz Air Malta, a subsidiary Hungarian ultra-low-cost-carrier Wizz Air, has been granted an Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and an Operating License (OL) by the Malta Civil Aviation Directorate (CAD).

According to Wizz Air president Robert Carey, the official establishment of the new branch supports the parent company’s multi-AOC strategy and will help the airline strengthen its position in Malta and across Europe.
