Wizz Air partners with Confirm Testing to offer COVID-19 tests and certificates

Wizz Air has partnered with Confirm Testing to offer Wizz Air customers an exclusive discount on rapid COVID-19 tests and certificates. From 27 November, UK customers requiring negative PCR test results to travel or wanting to reduce their quarantine period upon return will have exclusive access to a promotion code in order to buy Confirm Testing kits at reduced prices.

With Wizz Air’s promotion code, Confirm Testing’s “Fit to Fly” package, which includes a PCR swab test and certificate, will be available for £85, compared to over £110 without the discount. Test kits will include a collection bottle containing saline and a swab, protective packing wallet, a clear specimen bag to seal the sample, sample label, request form, and a return envelope with prepaid shipping. Clear and easy instructions on how to take the sample from nose and throat will also be included.

For customers requiring a negative test result 72 and 96 hours before travelling, kits can be ordered weeks in advance of a flight and kept at home. Customers should order tests at least five days before their flight and then perform and return the test via Royal Mail four days before. The test sample will arrive at the laboratory three days before the flight and will be analysed to internationally-recognised ISO 17025 standards. The day before the flight, test results are returned and if purchased, a Fit to Fly certificate is issued for negative test results.

Wizz Air is launching this partnership with Confirm Testing just as the UK government announces a new testing strategy for passengers arriving into England, which will be introduced from 15 December. On receipt of a negative COVID-19 test after five days of isolation, passengers returning from destinations not on the travel corridor list will no longer have to self-isolate for the usual 14-day period.
