Wyndham Expands Meetings Collection Globally

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is growing its meetings offering through the global expansion of The Meetings Collection, the company announced on Tuesday.

Wyndham launched The Meetings Collection in the United States in late 2021 under its Wyndham Business program. As a hub for meeting and event planners, Wyndham Business provides exclusive offers, venues and opportunities for bookings, including the expanding Meetings Collection.

The collection now includes “more than 160 hotels and resorts across the Americas, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa,” according to the company, amid Wyndham’s nearly 9,000-hotel portfolio.

The Meetings Collection provides a platform for meeting organizers to book multi-year meeting contracts with two offerings: Tier one requires a minimum total meeting value of $25,000 per contract and offers 25 percent allowable attrition per meeting and 3 percent rebate on total meeting value per meeting. Tier two requires a minimum total meeting value of $100,000 per contract and includes 30 percent allowable attrition per meeting and a 5 percent rebate on total meetings value per meeting.

Participating brands in The Meetings Collection include Wyndham Grand, Wyndham, Dolce Hotels & Resorts by Wyndham and the new Trademark Collection by Wyndham.

The Meetings Collection originated as part of the Wyndham Business program, which offers turnkey savings and benefits, largely to small and midsize customers in lieu of volume negotiations. The time is right for the collection’s expansion, according to Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ senior VP of global sales Carol Lynch.

“Over the last several years, Wyndham has continued adding to an already robust portfolio of aspirational hotels and resorts, introducing new offerings in some of the world’s most popular and sought-after destinations,” said Lynch in a statement. “This growth, combined with the continued recovery of group travel, make now the right time to expand The Meetings Collection globally.”

While Wyndham seeks to draw in corporate meetings with The Meetings Collection’s multi-meeting discounts, group booking flexibility, streamlined contract process and access to exclusive experiences, meeting organizers must be Wyndham loyalty rewards members to receive rewards benefits. The company offers double rewards points for two or more meetings booked simultaneously (or within 30 days of the contract of the first meeting) at participating hotels.
