$1.8M TIF for hotel requires local hiring, sourcing

A boutique hotel planned for downtown Louisville, Ky., will emphasize local hiring and purchasing in a proviso tied to creation of a $1.8 million tax increment financing district. “I think this (agreement) is probably the first time that it’s ever been attached to a TIF,” Mountain Shore Properties CEO Stephen Wendell said of the Metro Council’s assistance for the $30 million Bunkhouse hotel.
