American Airlines added stops to two long flights departing from Charlotte, N.C., due to a fuel shortage caused by the shutdown of the Colonial Pipeline, which suffered a cyber attack. Passengers on American’s daily flight from Charlotte to Honolulu will change planes in Dallas, and its flight to London will stop in Boston to refuel. US airlines are monitoring the ongoing situation, and Southwest Airlines is flying planes with additional fuel to “supplement the local supply.”
