A proposed makeover of the Sheraton Memphis Downtown Hotel would cost an estimated $226 million and add 300 rooms in a new tower. Starwood Capital Group and Schulte Hospitality Group are seeking a 30-year payment schedule in lieu of tax incentives, along with a 5% tourism surcharge.
