5 casino-resorts may be proposed in Thailand

A National Assembly committee in Thailand has recommended the development of five casino-resorts in the country, with the goal of generating jobs, boosting revenue and drawing in international visitors. The plan would require legalization through an amendment to Thailand’s Gambling Act, which is expected to be presented to the House later this year, a committee member reportedly said.
