700 Econo Lodge Hotels Introduce Smart Reception Kiosks
Econo Lodge Franchisees Association of America (ELFA), an independent association representing Econo Lodge franchisees since 1974, has announced a new partnership with Aavgo, a leading provider of smart hospitality solutions. Through this partnership, ELFA will install Aavgo’s Smart Reception kiosks in more than 700 Econo Lodge hotels in the US and Canada.
The Smart Reception kiosks are designed to enhance the guest experience and improve operational efficiency for hotel owners and staff. The kiosks allow guests to connect at any time with remote response agents who can assist them with various services and requests. The kiosks can also provide self-service options such as mobile check-in and checkout, generating room keys and accepting payment transactions.
The kiosks can also perform back-of-the-house functions such as responding to online reviews, overseeing the night audit process, managing inventory and reporting. The kiosks are integrated with Aavgo’s cloud-based platform, which provides real-time data and analytics for hotel owners and managers.
ELFA President David Drapella said that the partnership with Aavgo is part of ELFA’s commitment to strengthening the Econo Lodge brand and creating a healthy operating environment for member franchisees. He said that the Smart Reception kiosks will help Econo Lodge hotels to offer a convenient and personalized service to guests, while reducing labor costs and increasing revenue.
Aavgo CEO Abhinav Girdhar said that he is excited to work with ELFA and Econo Lodge hotels to bring innovative technology solutions to the hospitality industry. He said that Aavgo’s Smart Reception kiosks are designed to meet the needs and expectations of today’s travelers, who value speed, convenience and safety.
The installation of the Smart Reception kiosks will begin in the first quarter of 2022 and is expected to be completed by the end of the year. The kiosks will be available in English, Spanish and French languages.
