Spirit finalises order for 100 A320neo

Spirit Airlines has finalised a purchase agreement with Airbus for 100 A320neo Family aircraft, confirming a memorandum of understanding signed in October 2019.

In order to meet the airline’s future fleet requirements, the MoU was agreed for the purchase of up to 100 of the A320neo aircraft in a mix of A319neo, A320neo and A321neos.

The airline is set to announce an engine selection at a later date.

In 2019 Spirit revealed its redesigned cabin and new seats, installed on a brand new Airbus A320neo. The redesign includes updated carpet, new signage and branded colour palette, along with ergonomically-designed Acro seats in economy.
