Star Air to connect Indore
Indian airline Star Air is preparing to launch non-stop service connecting Indore with Belagavi, Karnataka from 20 January 2020.
As the two regions are not currently directly connected, the new services would make Star Air the first airline in India to connect the points.
It is expected that millions of people from South and West Maharashtra, North and West Karnataka, and from districts adjacent to Indore would benefit from the service.
The airline operates under the UDAN Regional Connectivity Scheme and currently provides services to eight Indian cities including Ahmedabad, Belagavi, Bengaluru, Delhi (Hindon), Hubballi, Kalaburgi, Mumbai and Tirupati.
The airline suggest the financial capital of Madhya Pradesh in Indore holds “great significance in terms of tourism” being both an educational and industrial hub, and also a tourist spot with key landmarks and natural beauty.
