Boeing sets plan for aircraft to accept 100% biofuel

Boeing recently unveiled its plan for ensuring all the aircraft it manufacturers from 2030 onward can operate on 100% “neat” sustainable aviation fuel. Currently, such fuels are blended directly with conventional jet fuel up to a 50/50 mixture, which is the maximum permitted under current fuel guidelines. “Aviation is committed to doing its part to reduce its carbon footprint,” said Boeing’s Sean Newsum.
