FedEx Ground CEO’s retirement spurs leadership changes

FedEx Ground CEO Henry Maier is retiring after 35 years with the company and will be succeeded by FedEx Freight CEO John Smith as “CEO-elect” starting March 1 and permanent CEO on June 1. Lance Moll, currently senior vice president of operations for FedEx Freight, will become CEO of the cargo subsidiary March 1.
